Steward Machine constructed six tainter gates for the US Army Corps of Engineers. One gate alone is 60 feet long, 40 feet wide, and approximately 40 feet tall and weighs approximately 200 tons.  According to general manager Bill Kaeser, this was not a normal request, and was a long project, as it takes a year and a half to make just one tainter gate.
