Wyman P. Dean was born June 7, 1935, in Climax, GA, the son of Ernest & Evie Mobley Dean. He was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School. Wyman retired from Englehard as a pollution control supervisor. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
Wyman was a down-to-earth man who loved the family farm. He took it upon himself to keep the family stocked with peanuts and pecans. “Bud” had quite a sense of humor which probably helped keep him out of trouble with his siblings. (He enjoyed spoiling his nieces & nephews with ice cream.) The Georgia Bulldogs, hunting and fishing filled his time when he wasn’t on a tractor or walking through his pecan orchard.
Survivors include his sister, Daisy Cox, and a large extended family. In addition to his parents, Wyman was preceded in death by his wives, Dorothy Love Dean and Hazel Hersey Dean; and his siblings, Ernest Samuel Dean, Jack Dean, Lois Robinson, Dollie Jones, Jonathan Nathaniel Dean, and Frances Hitt.
Bryant Funeral Home, located at 105 N. Florida Street, is assisting the family with arrangements. (229-246-3321)
