A runway was set up at the Chamber of Commerce Thursday evening for 12 models to strut their stuff in 229 Gift’s second seasonal fashion show, Fashion for a Cause. The show served as a fundraiser for Memorial Hospital and Manor, with a goal of $5,000 to purchase an infant bed warmer. According to Renee Fisher, $4,000 have been raised so far.
Models from Bainbridge, Tallahassee and Donalsonville participated, modeling several outfits sold at 229. Joseph Kelly served as the evening’s DJ, while McKenzie Conder served refreshments, which were provided by Crave at the Club.
“We so appreciate everyone who supported our spring Fashion For A Cause,” said Renee Fisher. “It’s great to live in a community filled with people who care. We are grateful for all of the donations…they will make a difference for Memorial Hospital and Manor. Thank you to ‘the village’ that made it happen and to all who attended.”
Donations to Memorial’s goal can still be made at this time. 229 will hold their next Fashion for a Cause event in the fall.
