The Bill Reynolds Sports Complex stands were packed on Monday afternoon, as it was the first day of the GRPA District 3 Baseball and Softball tournaments. Teams from around the region, including Tift, Grady and Colquitt County competed. The winner and loser brackets will continue until at least Wednesday afternoon, though the tournament may progress to Thursday if necessary.

The Bainbridge Boys 12U baseball team faced off against Thomasville, winning with a score of 16. The Girls 12U softball team lost to Lee County, 16-1. The 12U Boys will, as of the writing of this article, play against Tifton on Tuesday afternoon.
