Tuesday marked a change in the leadership of the Bainbridge Rotary Club, with Rotary president Bo Jones passing the gavel on to Tommie Howell as the new president. Before passing on leadership, Jones presented awards to two notable members of the Rotary Club who have significantly helped in recent years, those being Jamie Sinko and Gerard Kwilecki.
“It has been an honor and a privilege to serve as president for a second time,” Jones said. “I’m looking forward to a great year with Tommie, and I know he has lots of great things in plan for us.”
Following the passing of the gavel, Howell gave a presentation discussing several of the Bainbridge club’s statistics, as well as some upcoming Rotary organization events.
The Bainbridge Rotary Club will not be meeting for its weekly meeting next Tuesday, but will be holding a summer luau party Tuesday evening instead.
