The Bainbridge Decatur County Recreation Authority’s youth soccer camp is currently underway, starting with a bang and a special guest paying a visit. That guest was Diego de la Torre, former Atlanta United Assistant Coach and professional player at Toluca FC. The kids practiced agility with him, before watching some of his highlights, and concluding with Torre answering any questions they may have had.

Torre was only able to stay Monday, with the camp moving on to practice more technical aspects on Tuesday.

The camp is coed for kids ages 3 to 14, and will continue through this week. Senior Program Supervisor Carlos Becerra wanted to remind parents and potential players that there are only two weeks left to register for this year’s rec soccer season, which will begin in late August/early September.
