Last Wednesday, Memorial Hospital and Manor held a board meeting to discuss the hospital’s progression.

Meditech is performing well, but the performance is slow and steady due to issues arising.  IT updates like internet high availability, redundant firewalls, and proactive monitoring systems, have been installed on a variety of computer softwares throughout the hospital to approve patients’ stay.

The board approved the Radiology Department’s request to purchase an updated workstation and reading monitors for Dr. Charles Brown at a cost of $19,983.

The hospital continues to fill open positions in the operating room, Labor and Delivery, and ICU. In addition, the hospital is also recruiting for scrub techs in the OR.

The hospital held an Employee Town Hall Meeting in the first two weeks of September. They covered issues dealing with the Employee Health Clinic on health screenings and vaccinations. Also, they discussed quality and patient satisfaction information, financial performance for FY24, and growth and thought strategies for the future.

The hospital continues to search for the next CEO after Jim Lambert retired.

The event is for both survivors and those currently fighting breast cancer. The guest speaker will be Nancy Grimsley and Threasa Hall. Hall will also discuss local breast cancer support groups.
