With fall here and Halloween not far around the corner, Memorial Hospital and Manor decided to liven up the space for the season, by holding a pumpkin decorating contest amongst the staff. Each hospital department was given a pumpkin and two weeks to both decide on and create a design for their pumpkin.
The idea for the contest was initially proposed by Assistant Administrator Stephen Gambrell, who proposed the idea to the hospital’s employee engagement committee.
The hospital’s lab department came in first place, with their pumpkin recreation of Beetlejuice, while the materials management department came in second place with a recreation of “The Wizard of Oz’s” Tin Man. Both departments will be treated to lunch for their winning prize.
“We would like to invite the public to come check out these amazing pumpkins,” said Jamie Sinko, Memorial’s Director of Development. MHM kindly asks that the displays not be touched; they are for display only.
