Verizon Wireless continues to expand and enhance its network across Georgia. Year to date, Verizon added more than 20 new cell towers and invested more than $145 million in the state’s network infrastructure. Verizon continued to expand its Evolution-Data Optimized (EV-DO) third generation (3G) wide-area network Revision A (Rev. A). In addition to building new cell towers, the company’s high-speed technology was enhanced around the state, including in Bainbridge and Thomasville. The upgraded 3G network uses high-speed data transfer to provide better access to Verizon Wireless’ two prime services: BroadbandAccess and V CAST.
