Monday evening, the vehicle of a woman who was found dead inside her home in Tallahassee, Fla., was discovered in Bainbridge.
The body of 22-year-old Mileah Lindsey was found in her home by relatives on Monday.
The Violent Crimes and Crime Scene Detectives with the Leon County Sheriff’s Office discovered evidence that indicated the death was a result of a homicide, according to a LCSO news release.
A spokesperson from the Leon County Sheriff’s Office told The Tallahassee Democrat, “We went inside [the home] and when we saw signs of foul play, we began the process of obtaining search warrants.”
Monday evening Bainbridge Public Safety was notified by a concerned citizen that Lindsey’s car, a 1994 White Oldsmobile Cutlass, was located in the parking lot near the intersection of Shotwell and South Scott streets.
BPS Investigator Chris Jordan located the vehicle and ran the vehicle’s tag information, which came back to Lindsey. Jordan notified the Leon County Sheriff Office, which came and took possession of the vehicle.
Leon County sheriff’s detectives are seeking 19-year-old Haywood Henry III as a person of interest in the case. Henry is also wanted for outstanding warrants of sexual battery with a firearm, resisting arrest with violence, grand theft auto, battery on a law enforcement officer and felony battery. He is considered armed and dangerous, according to the news release.
