Elma Smith

Funeral services for Elma Smith, 91, of Clearwater, Fla., were held on Saturday, Jan. 16, in the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, Ga., with the Rev. Dale Miller officiating.

Interment followed at Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville with Leonard Wisniewski, Danny Smith, Dan Tobin, Fran Costello, the Rev. Dale Miller and Sammy Jo Baker serving as active pallbearers.

Born Aug. 21, 1918, in Donalsonville, Mrs. Smith died on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010, at Belleair East Nursing Home in Clearwater, Fla.

She was retired from General Motors. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe Ed Smith; and her daughter, Carolyn Smith Steeb.

Survivors include her daughter, JoAnn Smith Wisniewski of Belleair Beach, Fla.; a son, David Smith of Largo, Fla.; nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
