Carroll Parlor

Funeral services for Carroll Henry Parlor, 66, of Blakely, Ga., will be held Wednesday, Dec. 2, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home in Blakely with the Rev. Hubert Smith officiating.

Interment will follow in the Oakview Assembly of God Church Cemetery in Seminole County with Larry Evans, Blake Shireling, Billy Ray Murkerson, Steven Allen, Scotty Allen and Greg Murray serving as active pallbearers.

Born Sept. 6, 1943, in Jeff Davis County, Ga., Mr. Parlor died on Monday, Nov. 30, 2009, at his residence.

Mr. Parlor was an electronic engineer with Birdsong Peanut Company. He was an active member of Sowhatchee Baptist Church in Early County.

Mr. Parlor served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife, Lavada Kirkland Busby Parlor of Blakely; three sons, Keith Parlor of Bowling Green, Fla., Danny Parlor of Davenport, Fla., and Glenn Parlor of Flint, Mich.; a daughter, Tina Tyson of Bartow, Fla.; a sister, Shelbie Lois Philmon of Savannah, Ga., and a brother, James Albert Parlor of Wauchula, Fla.; seven grandchildren, four-great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home in Blakely is in charge of arrangements.
