Della Chandler

Funeral services for Della Mae Chandler, 90, of Donalsonville, Ga., were held Friday, Oct. 2, at Rocky Ridge Baptist Church in Seminole County with the Rev. Henry Johnson officiating.
Interment followed at Friendship Memorial Gardens in Donalsonville with the deacons of Rocky Ridge Baptist Church serving as active pallbearers.
Born in Cottondale, Fla., Mrs. Chandler died on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009, at Seminole Manor Nursing Home in Donalsonville.
Mrs. Chandler was retired from Thomas Five and Dime after 22 years of employment. She attended Rocky Ridge Baptist Church.
Mrs. Chandler was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David Chandler; one brother, Curtis Harper Jr.; and one sister, Lottie B. Parziale.
Survivors include three sons, Ottis Ray Chandler of Blackshear, Ga., John Wayne Chandler and Lavon Chandler, both of Donalsonville; one daughter, Diane Skipper of Donalsonville; two sisters, Betty Collinsworth of Defuniak Springs, Fla., and Virginia Graves of Port St. Joe, Fla.; one brother, Deward Harper of Scottsboro, Ala.; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Colquitt Funeral Home in Colquitt, Ga., was in charge of funeral arrangements.
