Funeral services for Willie Lamar King, 60, of Bainbridge, will be held Saturday, Sept. 5, at 2 p.m. at Cox-Ware Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Grubbs officiating.
Interment will follow in Oak City Cemetery with Charles King, Rusty King, Dusty King, Josh Trawick, Dewayne King and Earnest Ray King serving as active pallbearers.
Born March 17, 1949, in Malone, Fla., Mr. King died on Wednesday, Sept. 2, at Palmyra Medical Center in Albany, Ga.
Mr. King had lived in Decatur County for the past 50 years after moving from Malone, Fla. He was of the Baptist faith and was a farmer. He enjoyed fishing, camping and working on motors and machinery.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Callie Josey King of Bainbridge; three daughters, Loretta Ezell, Teresa Trawick and Christy Ann King, all of Bainbridge; one son, William Lamar King Sr. of Reynoldsville, Ga.; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, an uncle and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Cox-Ware Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.
