Funeral services for James T. Morris, 79, of Bainbridge, will be held Thursday, Aug. 27, at 2 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with the Revs. Haskell White, Roger Richards and David Harrell officiating.
Interment will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens with Mr. Morris’ nephews serving as active pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, Aug. 26, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Ivey Funeral Home.
Born March 20, 1930, in Edison, Ga., Mr. Morris died on Monday, Aug. 24, 2009, at Tallahassee (Fla.) Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Morris graduated from Morgan High School and served in the U.S. Army. He was the owner of Morris Installment Company and attended Calvary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne Adams Morris.
Survivors include three daughters, Deborah M. Jones of Bainbridge, Gwen Morris of Bainbridge, and Vickie M. Norris of Anderson, S.C.; a brother, Ernest S. Morris of Rockledge, Fla.; a sister, Estelle Alexander of Baconton, Ga.; a grandson and two great-grandchildren.
Ivey Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.
