Funeral services for John Varriale, 76, of Bainbridge, will be held Wednesday, July 22, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Anthony L. Massafra Funeral Home in Donora, Pa., with the Rev. Fr. Pierre Falkenhar officiating.

Interment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park in Donora, Pa.

Born Jan. 6, 1933, in Naples, Italy, Mr. Varriale died at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge on Friday, July 17, 2009.

Mr. Varriale was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Pasquale Varriale.

Survivors include his wife; Mary VanParys Varriale; a daughter; Catherine Mary Duerr of Bainbridge; a son; Vincent Varriale of Gastonia, N.C.; one sister; Angelina Ross of Denora, Pa.; and five grandchildren.

Anthony L. Massafra Funeral Home in Denora, Pa., is in charge of funeral arrangements.
