Funeral services for Alice Faye Jackson, 60, of Bainbridge, will be Wednesday, July 1, at Unity of Faith Church with the Rev. Ricky Jugger officiating.

Internment will follow at Miller Cemetery in Seminole County with friends of the family serving as pallbearers.

Born on Oct. 4, 1948, in Seminole County, Mrs. Jackson died on June 24, 2009, at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, Ga. She was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Jackson.

She is survived by a son, James Edward Murphy of Pennsylvania; two daughters, Pamela Yvette Murphy and Sheryl La’Verne Murphy, both of Augusta, Ga.; a devoted ex-husband, Carl Murphy; three grandchildren, a special niece, Brendan Christopher Jackson of Bainbridge, and several other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Bruton Mortuary is in charge of services.
