A funeral service for Mrs. Nell Funderburk Hambrick, 88, of Bainbridge, will be held Friday, June 19, at 2 p.m. at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stephen L. Webb officiating. Interment will follow at Oak City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Born August 19, 1920 in Bainbridge, Mrs. Hambrick passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at Memorial Manor Nursing Home.

Mrs. Hambrick was a graduate of Bainbridge High School and Georgia State College for Women, and was a retired claims representative for the Social Security Administration. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Everette Hambrick.
Survivors include two sons, Wayne Hambrick of Canton, Ga., and Wallace Hambrick of Lawrenceville, Ga.; a daughter, Jane Douglas of Marietta, Ga.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
