Willie Fulgeon

Funeral services for Willie Fulgeon, 84, of Climax, will be held Thursday, June 4, at 1 p.m. at St. Mary African Methodist Episcopal Church in Climax with the Rev. Ronald Williams officiating.
Interment will follow in Conyers Cemetery with James E. Corker, Jessie B. Grant, James Evans, Willie Irvin Jr., Leroy McNair and Cloud Gibson Jr. serving as active pallbearers.
Born Dec. 25, 1924, in Decatur County, Mr. Fulgeon died Saturday, May 30, 2009, at Capital Health Care Center in Tallahassee, Fla.
Mr. Fulgeon was a member of St. Mary African Methodist Episcopal Church, where he was an active leader.
Survivors include his wife, Lula M. Fulgeon; a son, Willie Fulgeon Jr.; six daughters, Betty Gurley, Betsy Alday, Patricia Henderson, Gwendolyn Fulgeon, Teresa Lavind and Betty Burke; a sister, Emma Fulgeon Washington; 11 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.
Melton Mortuary in Attapulgus is in charge of funeral arrangements.
