Funeral services for Ronnie Clay Cox, 57, of Bainbridge were held on Friday, Jan. 30, at Bellview Free Will Baptist Church in Colquitt, Ga., with the Rev. Jimmy Walden officiating.
Interment followed at Bellview Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with Mitch Dollar, Randy Dollar, Donald Ray, James Brown, Emmet Dollar, Curtis Cooper, James Cooper, Kim Dollar and Randy Moore serving as active pallbearers.
Born on April 29, 1951, in Bainbridge, Mr. Cox died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2009, in Americus, Ga.
Mr. Cox was an auto mechanic and received the Employee of the Month award several times at McKellar Motors in Moultrie, Ga. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his father, Clayton Wesley Cox.
Survivors include his son, Ronnie Clay Cox Jr. of Americus, Ga.; two daughters, Melissa Battle of Americus and Christie Cox of Moultrie, Ga.; his mother and stepfather, Eula Ellen Kelly and Robert Kelly of Bainbridge; two brothers, Ricky Wesley Cox and Clayton Ladon Cox, both of Bainbridge; two sisters, Yvonne Linton of Ochlocknee, Ga., and Orrie Warren of Bainbridge; and eight grandchildren.
Ivey Funeral Home in Bainbridge was in charge of arrangements.
