Funeral services for Ernest “Tub” Chason, 61, of Bainbridge will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Jeff Stapleton officiating.
Interment will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens with Wayne Strickland, Leonard Burke, Jeremy McLendon, Terry Dowden, Robert Taylor and Bo Strickland serving as active pallbearers.
Born in Quincy, Fla., Mr. Chason died on Monday, Dec. 29, 2008, at his residence. He was a chief engineer at MacTavish Furniture Industries in Quincy, Fla., and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Chason was preceded in death by his wife, Mary D. Chason.
Survivors include three sons, Mark Chason and his wife, Rene, of Bainbridge, Ga., Wesley Shane Chason and his wife, Cindy, of Crawfordville, Fla., and Tony Bryan and his wife, Areli, of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; his daughter, Dena Starling and her husband, Luke, of Crawfordville, Fla.; his brother, Ayce Chason of Quincy, Fla.; his sister, Iris Moore of Tallahassee, Fla.; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Ivey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
