Troy Lawrence

Memorial services for Troy Herbert Lawrence, 83, of Concord, Fla., were held Nov. 30 at Concorida Baptist Church in Concord.

Mr. Lawrence died on Nov. 27, 2008, in Tallahassee, Fla.

He was a member of Concorida Baptist Church, and he was an automobile mechanic. He was well known for his weekend farming, where he loved his garden and shared his crops with neighbors. Mr. Lawrence loved to fish and at one point, he designed and built his own fishing boat. He was preceded in death by his son, Joe Hutto.

Mr. Lawrence is survived by two daughters, Susan Cook and Dottie Stephens, both of Havana, Fla.; a sister, Carolyn Harris of Tifton, Ga.; to grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Faith Funeral Home in Havana, Fla., was in charge of funeral arrangements.
