Funeral services for Barry Hall Bowen, 60, were held Sunday, Nov. 30, at 2 p.m., from the Chapel of Alabama Heritage Funeral Home.

Burial followed in Alabama Heritage Cemetery with Dr. Edwin Bridges, Bruce Bridges, Barry Montgomery, Brian Bowen, Bruce Bowen and Brett McFarland serving as pallbearers.

Born in Bainbridge, Ga., he was the oldest of nine children. Mr. Bowen died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2008, in Montgomery, Ala.

He served in the U.S. Navy, and during this time he married the love of his life, Beth, his wife of 38 years.

He resided in Tuscaloosa for 19 years and spent the last 12 years in Montgomery, Ala. He was a man of great faith, loved his family, an avid outdoorsman and loved hot rods.

He is also survived by four children, Betsy Montgomery of Headland, Ala., Brian Bowen, Bruce Bowen and Brittany McFarland, all of Pike Road, Ala.; and six grandchildren.

Alabama Heritage Funeral Home of Montgomery was in charge of arrangements.
