Bainbridge Living magazine premiers

For the first time, Bainbridge’s hometown newspaper is producing a hometown magazine, which will be distributed independently of the paper.
Bainbridge Living, a new product of Bainbridge Media LLC, is available for free at more than 100 locations in Decatur County and throughout the southwest Georgia area.
“We’re really excited about Bainbridge Living because it presents our great community in a different format than The Post-Searchlight,” said Jeff Findley, publisher of Bainbridge Living and The Post-Searchlight. “Our goal with the introduction and distribution of Bainbridge Living is to tell stories of our community and its people that need to be told. Stories all over this county are waiting to be uncovered and brought to you. Our hope is that the content be entertaining, informative and useful.”
Inside the premier issue are stories on Dean and Marlene Free and their beautiful home and favorite recipes; a profile on Lane Bush and his hobby of flying an airplane—with no engine; pictures and their locations of all the historical markers in Decatur County; profile of Leigh Mullis; fish picks and tips from Lake Seminole fishing guide Mike Prindle and more.
Having good stories to write about is having persons in the community tell us about good stories, said Carol Heard, managing editor of the magazine and the newspaper.
“The magazine will offer a different forum for bringing stories to the public, and we hope a lot of those stories will be contributed by the public,” Heard said.
Accompanying the quarterly magazine is its own Web site, http://www.bainbridgelivingmag.com. You can follow us or offer comments and suggestions on its Facebook page—Bainbridge Living Magazine.
