Smith is honor graduate

Kelly Danielle Smith recently graduated with honors from North Oconee High School in a ceremony held at Stegeman Coliseum at UGA.
During her high school career she was captain of the Titan’s Color Guard, secretary of the National Honor Society, a member of Beta Club, Student Council, Latin Club, Family, Career and Community Leaders of America, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, was in the musicals Bye Bye Birdie and Flash from the Past. She received letter awards in swimming and color guard.
Miss Smith delivered the student challenge speech at the baccalaureate service held at Mars Hill Baptist Church where she is a member of the Youth Leadership Team and serves as Youth Worship Leader. She participated in two mission trips to New Orleans and to Charleston.
This summer she is working as a lifeguard at Summer Hill Recreation Club and plans to attend Georgia College and State University this fall majoring in pre-pharmacy before transferring to UGA to pursue a Doctor of Pharmacy.
Miss Smith received one of four national Bounder United Scholarships awarded each year.
She is the daughter of Marvelyn and Terry Smith of Bogart, Ga. Grandparents are Carolyn and Harold Kelly, Ed White, all of Bainbridge, and the late Mary Frances Howell White.
