Etheleen Aubrey

Funeral services for Mrs. Etheleen Whitaker Aubrey, 80, of Donalsonville, Ga., were held Tuesday, Sept. 14, at Donalsonville First Assembly of God Church, with the Rev. James Scarborough officiating. Interment followed in Calvary Assembly of God Cemetery in Brinson, with Jimmy Doyle, Billy Aubrey, Allen Myers, Jamie Myers, Heath Harrison and Derick Bradford acting as pallbearers.

Born Dec. 28, 1929 in Owensboro, Ky., Mrs. Aubrey died Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010, at Seminole Manor Nursing Home in Donalsonville.

Mrs. Aubrey was a homemaker and worked for General Electric in Kentucky, building parts for television tubes.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Earl Aubrey; and by several brothers, Bobby Whitaker, Jimmy Whitaker, Charles Whitaker, Bill Whitaker and Paul Whitaker.

Survivors include a son, William T. Aubrey Sr. of Rincon, Ga.; a daughter, Shirley Doyle of Donalsonville; and a sister-in-law, Hazel Whitaker of Mobile, Ala.; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.

Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
