A memorial service for Julian Love Branche, 84, was held Friday, Sept. 3, at Faceville Methodist Church. Another funeral service for Mr. Branche will be held Saturday, Sept. 4, at 11 a.m. at Kelley Funeral Home in Apalachicola, Fla.

Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery with military honors.

Born Jan. 7, 1926, in Miccosukee, Fla., Mr. Branche died on Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, in Thomasville, Ga.

Mr. Branche was a retired U.S. Navy veteran who served in the Korean War. After his retirement from the military, Mr. Branche worked for the State of Florida.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Chester; and his wife, Tertia Branche.

Survivors include two daughters, Michelle Whatley and Susan Consoli; three sons, Stephen Branch, Claude Harper and Larry Harper; a son-in-law, 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Kelley Funeral Home in Apalachicola, Fla., is in charge of arrangements.
