Funeral services for Ellie Mae King, 94, will be held Saturday, Aug. 28, at 3 p.m. at First Macedonia M.B. Church on Cooktown Road with the Revs. C. Dexter Thurman and Kennedy Cody officiating.
Interment will follow in Pilgrim Rest Cemetery with the sons and grandsons acting as pallbearers.
Mrs. King was born July 24, 1916, in Decatur County, and died Aug. 25, 2010, at her residence.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam B. King Sr., and two sons, Collins James and Robert Odell King.
Survivors include five sons, James Curtis King Sr., Charles Eugene King Sr., Samuel Bernard King Jr., Henry Daniel King Sr. and Leonard Cula King Sr.; two daughters, Lillian King Barber and Brendia “Crystal” King; one sister, Wincy Greenlee Brockington; one brother, Artie C. Hines; 40 grandchildren; a multitude of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
Guyton Brothers Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
