Sally Cooke-Homes

A memorial service for Sally Jane “Jamy” Cooke-Holmes, 64, a former resident of Bainbridge, and most recently residing in Pinedale, Wyo., will be held in the chapel of St. John’s Medical Center in Jackson, Wyo., on Thursday, Aug. 26.
Mrs. Cooke-Holmes, as per her wishes, was cremated. Sometime in the near future, her ashes will be spread at Mount Rushmore with family in attendance.
Born April 22, 1946, in Lakewood, Ohio, Mrs. Cooke-Holmes died on Aug. 18, 2010.
Mrs. Cooke-Holmes was a graduate of Drake University, put her education to best use by caring for her husband and children. Her family, along with the pets in her life—birds, cats, fish, dogs, cows, horses and turtles—would be hard-pressed to have found a better person to look after and love them.
Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Allan Holmes; her daughter, Jennifer Louise Holmes; her son, Joshua Allan Holmes; her sister, Suzanne Loeffler of Bainbridge; a granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
