Funeral services for Eleanor Bynum Head, 78, of Brinson, Ga., were held Friday, Aug. 20, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with Elder Ryan Cleveland, branch president, officiating.

Interment will follow at West Bainbridge Cemetery with Josh Becker, Jeremy Tomberlin, Jonathon Tomberlin, Alan Hall, Kyndall Hall and Charlie Kirksey serving as active pallbearers.

Born June 21, 1932, in Auburndale, Fla., Mrs. Head died on Monday, Aug. 16, 2010, at her residence.

Mrs. Head was a custodian and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Billie Denise Whitehead; her brother, James Bynum, and her sister, Mattie Ament.

Survivors include her husband, W.T. “Pete” Head of Brinson; her son, Kenneth Hall of Brinson; her daughters, Donna Gail Becker of Columbus, Ga., and Debra Whitehead Tomberlin of Bainbridge; her sisters, Janice Hayes and Frances Bynum Alvarez; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
