Funeral services for Mary Elizabeth Mathis, 49, of Donalsonville, Ga., will be held on Saturday, July 31, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville with the Rev. Dennis Cramer and Kim Revels officiating.

Interment will follow in Mount Olive Baptist Church Cemetery in Bascom, Fla., with Chris Anderson, Danny Hall, Ray Revels, Daniel Jenkins, Willie Daniels and Jamie Hartzog serving as active pallbearers.

Born June 17, 1961, in Donalsonville, Ga., Mrs. Mathis died on Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at Donalsonville Hospital.

Mrs. Mathis was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Grady and Gertrude Hartzog.

Survivors include two sons, Wayne Hudson of Donalsonville and Chris Anderson of Malone, Fla.; two step-sons, Raymond Mathis and Reuben Mathis, both of Donalsonville; three daughters, Latrinna Lisenby of Jakin, Ga., Elizabeth Hudson of Bascom, Fla., and Tracy Walker of Malone, Fla.; a brother, James Hartzog of Donalsonville; a sister, Betty Hudson of Donalsonville; special friends Jody Day, Rita Phillips and Rebecca Woods, all of Donalsonville; 12 grandchildren, one great-grandchild; as well as other close friends and relatives.
