Funeral services for Carl Harrison, 82, of Bainbridge, was held Monday, July 26, at Morningside Baptist Church with the Rev. Carl Harrell officiating.

Interment followed at New Enterprise Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with full military honors provided by the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard. Active pallbearers were Roy Schlabach, Dooly Powell, Bobby Joe Knight, Grant Williams, Ray Morrison and Leon Davis.

Born Feb. 2, 1928, in Cottonwood, Fla., Mr. Harrison died on Friday, July 23, 2010, at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, Ga.

Mr. Harrison was a graduate of Bainbridge High School and a member of Morningside Baptist Church. He was a retired chief master sergeant with 30 years of service in the U.S. Air Force.

He was preceded in death by his son, Maj. Carl Michael Harrison; his daughter, Denise Harrison Woods; and his brother, Gordon Harrison.

Survivors include his wife, Dollie Adams Harrison of Bainbridge; three daughters, Debra H. Booth of China Lake, Calif., Suzanne H. Brothers of New Orleans, La., and Robin Harrell Locke of Bainbridge; his son, Chip Harrell of Bainbridge; 19 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Ivey Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
