A funeral service for Caleb L. Carlisle, 26, of Attapulgus, was held Monday, June 21, at Calvary Baptist Church with the Revs. Tommy Carlisle and Russell Carlisle officiating.

Interment followed at Roselawn Memory Gardens with Joshua Carlisle, Ryan Carlisle, T. J. Carlisle, Jason Hayes, Chris Hines, Justin Pope and Timmy White serving as active pallbearers.

Born April 10, 1984, in Albany, Ga., Mr. Carlisle died on Friday, June 18, 2010, at Tallahassee (Fla.) Memorial HealthCare.

Mr. Carlisle was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 2002, where he played in the band. He served in the U.S.Air Force. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Bainbridge and was an avid golfer.

Survivors include his wife, Samantha Ann Carlisle of Attapulgus; his son, Caleb Daxton Carlisle of Attapulgus; his parents, Mickey and Angela Carlisle of Attapulgus; his brother, Joshua M. Carlisle of Attapulgus; his maternal grandmother, Elaine Tipton Duke of Bainbridge; his paternal grandparents, the Rev. Ira and Millicent Carlisle of Leesburg, Ga.; a niece, several aunts, uncles and cousins and a host of other family and friends.

Ivey Funeral Home in Bainbridge was in charge of arrangements.
