Funeral services for Obadiah Byrd Sr., 85, of Climax, will be held Saturday, June 19, at 11 a.m. at Mount Moriah No. 1 Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Douglas Barber officiating.

Interment will be at Conyers Cemetery in Climax.

Born July 9, 1924, in Climax, Mr. Byrd died on June 11, 2010, at his residence.

Mr. Byrd was a member of Mount Moriah No. 1 Missionary Baptist Church.

Chandler’s Funeral Home Chapel is in charge of the services.
