Funeral services for William Takashi Walden, 62, of Bainbridge, will be held Sunday, May 30, at Nelson Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church at 3 p.m. with the Revs. James A. Platt and Joe L. Sweet officiating.

Interment will follow in Pineview Cemetery with members of Mr. Walden’s family serving as active pallbearers.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 29, at Bruton Mortuary.

Born Sept. 11, 1947, in Tokyo, Japan, Mr. Walden died on Monday, May 24, 2010, in Gadsden County, Fla.

Mr. Walden was a business administrator, and he was a member of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity and Bainbridge YMCA.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey B. Walden Sr.

Survivors include his mother, Carrie C. Walden; three sons, William Takashi Walden Jr., Jahmon Tadashi Walden and Cliphane Ellington; three daughters, Dr. Ayanna Miyako Walden, Dr. Tamara Tashiko Walden, Miranda Alexis Walden; a brother, Harvey B. Walden Jr.; four grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
