Mr. and Mrs. Rick Callebs of Columbus, N.C., formerly of Bainbridge, announce the engagement of their daughter, Lee Ann Callebs of Athens, Ga., to Keith Newberry, also of Athens.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Callebs and the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bell.

She is a 1997 graduate of Bainbridge High School and graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in early childhood education and with a master’s in reading education.

She is a teacher in the Clarke County School System.

The groom-elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Newberry of Bainbridge, and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Newberry of Bainbridge, and of the late Mr. and Mrs. D. Lamar Humphrey.

He is a 1995 graduate of Bainbridge High School and has a degree in speech communications from the University of Georgia.

He is employed at Southeast Restoration Group. The couple will reside in Athens.

The wedding is planned for Nov. 20 at 5 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Bainbridge. A reception will follow at the Kirbo Center.
