Decatur County Sheriff Wiley Griffin and Sgt. Chad Bennett of the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office presented diplomas to this fifth-grade class at Hutto Middle School Monday for completion of the Choosing Healthy Activities & Methods Promoting Safety (CHAMPS) program. During the program, Sgt. Bennett instructed the students on the dangers of alcohol and drugs, offered safety lessons for boating and ATV operation, and provided tips on Internet safety.
