Funeral services for Avo Williams Crosson, 72, of Iron City, Ga., were held on Saturday, Feb. 4, in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, Ga., with Rev. Robert Anderson officiating. Interment followed at Rock Pond/Olive Grove Cemetery in Iron City. Casketbearers were Chris Moore, Gary Kelly, Douglas Williams, Zach Williams, Wes Dozier and Kevin Coker.  Honorary casketbearers were the Seminole Sweeties — Red Hat Ladies.

She was born in Iron City, on Feb. 20, 1939, to the late Randall and Iris Trawick Williams. She died Feb. 1, 2012, at her residence. She was a member of Notchaway Baptist Church, Iron City Ladies Club and Seminole Sweeties (Red Hat Society) and was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Randall and Iris Trawick Williams, and a brother, Benny Willams.

Survivors include her husband, Harold Crosson of Iron City; daughters, Pam Langston of Smith Creek, Fla., Elise Ann Crosson of Iron City, and Karen Griffith and her husband Preston of Cropwell, Ala.; brothers, Harold Williams of Iron City and Jimmy Williams and his wife Mary of Gainesville, Ga.; sister-in-law, Carol Williams of Iron City; grandchildren, Michael Langston and his wife Patty, Shari Langston Smith and her husband Jason, Kevin Langston and his wife Ansleigh, Conner Griffith and Cael Griffith; great grandchildren, Hunter Langston, Audrey Langston, Kaitlin Smith and Hayden Langston; as well as nieces and nephews, Douglas Williams, Tracy Williams Holt and Zach Williams.
