The funeral service for Daniel Lamar Culverson Jr., 81, of Bainbridge, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Medley officiating.

Interment will be at Roselawn Memory Garden with Daniel Culverson, Johnny Presilla, Darvin Flowers, Brad Reynolds, Church Piornack and Dusty Reeves serving as active pallbearers.

Mr. Culverson was born Aug. 30, 1929, and died on Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011, at Memorial Hospital. He owned and operated D&D Lawnmower Shop for more than 34 years. He enjoyed riding and taking care of his horses, and was of the Methodist faith.

Mr. Culverson was preceded in death by his brothers, Morris Culverson and Roland Culverson.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Joan Culverson; his sons, Donald Culverson and his wife, Patricia, and Daniel Culverson, all of Bainbridge; his daughters, Diana Piornack and her husband, Chuck, of Sunrise, Fla., and Connie Presilla of Bainbridge; his brothers, Marvin Culverson of Havana, Fla., and Roger Culverson of Stark, Fla.; his sisters, Bonnie Taylor and Joan Brock, both of Bainbridge; 10 grandchildren, Erica, Samantha, Janna, Tonya, Johnny, Melissa, Jamie, Amanda, Tiffany and Daniel; and seven great-grandchildren.

Ivey Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
