Henry Sapp

The graveside funeral service for Henry Sapp, 83, of Bainbridge, Ga., will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 19, at New Fountainhead Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Tim Harrell, and Pastors Bruce Hoose and Doug Dowdey officiating.

Mr. Sapp was born Nov. 15, 1927, in Leesburg, Fla., the son of William Henry Sapp and Annie Jane Conley Sapp. He died Jan. 17, 2011, at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II. Mr. Sapp was a floor covering contractor for more than 40 years, was a former member of the Leesburg Lion’s Club and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Jonathan Kent Sapp.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Mary Sapp of Bainbridge; his sons, Danny Sapp, Lee Sapp and his wife, Kim, and Eddie Sapp and his wife, Jackie, all of Bainbridge; his daughters, Kelly Sapp Wainwright and her husband, Steve, of Live Oak, Fla., and Pam Dawson and her husband, Johnny of Raytown, Mo.; his former daughters-in-law, Christy Harrell and Denice Sapp, both of Bainbridge; his sisters, Lois Heinmiller of Clermont, Fla., Lucille Turner of Lady Lake, Fla., Mary Jane Bonds of Bainbridge and Myrtle Lee Young of Molino, Fla.; his grandchildren, Jon, Leigha, Tyler, Briana, Brett, Taylor, Cody, Austin, Brydon, Landon, Steven and William; his great-grandson, Paxton; many nieces and nephews including, Jim Smith, Bill Heinmiller, Donna Ellis, Debbie Faircloth, Denee Cook, Darlene Freeman, Jennifer Brock and K. C. Sapp; and several special care providers, Dr. Sydney Cochran, staff of Flint River Hospice and Sally Miller.
