Paddling is a travesty

Paddling a student three times in one day is a travesty. If paddling worked, why didn’t it work the first time?
Paddling has been banned in 29 states and more than l00 countries. It has been banned because it sometimes leads to injuries and lawsuits against school boards. It has been banned because it is ineffective in teaching students what you want them to do.
This boy’s injury demonstrates its ineffectiveness and its harm. Decatur County Schools should ban it, not try to improve its administration of it.
