Clemons is Duke TIP Scholar

James Clemons, a seventh-grade student from West Bainbridge Middle School, qualified for state recognition in the 2008-2009 Duke University Talent Search Identification Program. He was honored because he scored above the national average on the reading portion of the ACT. This summer Clemons will attend Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C. He will participate with other high achievers from across the country in a course titled “Appalachian Tales: Ghosts, Hikers and Bluegrass.” Clemons is the son of Larry and Margaret Clemons of Brinson.
