Kerri Gardner’s reading class at West Bainbridge Elementary School worked on a project to culminate a story about “Goad the Frog.” After reading the complete story, the students created a mural by using the scenes from the story to retell what happened to the frog and other characters. The class had discussed plot, setting, characters and the events as they happened in the story. They used a story map graphic organizer to record the most important parts in each section of the story. When asked what she thought about doing the project, Samantha Rabon said, “We all worked together to create the town of Toadsville, and it was fun!”
