The City of Bainbridge offices will reopen on Monday, Dec. 28.

Residential garbage pickup will resume on Monday following the holidays. Commercial trash pickup will remain unaffected, and the City of Bainbridge will supply dumpsters at 1503 Pierce St. and Bainbridge Public Safety for holiday garbage disposal.

Bainbridge College will be closed from Dec. 28 and will reopen Jan. 4.

Friday, Jan. 1—New Year’s Day—is a state and federal holiday, and all banks will be closed.

Public schools in Decatur County, as well as Grace Christian Academy, will resume classes on Wednesday, Jan. 6. Monday, Jan. 4, has been designated as a furlough day for Decatur County public school employees.

Schools in Seminole and Miller counties, as well as Southwest Georgia Academy, will resume classes on Tuesday, Jan. 5.

The Department of Driver Services office in Colquitt, Ga., as well as others statewide, will be closed Thursday, Dec. 31, for a furlough day.

The Southwest Georgia Regional Library system, including the Decatur County-Gilbert H. Gragg library, will be closed on Dec. 26 and Jan. 1 to observe holidays.
