Funeral services for Frank L Standifer Sr., 65, of Donalsonville, Ga., was held Sunday, Jan. 10, in the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Minister Rickey Eppes and the Rev. Wade Bridges officiating.
Interment followed at Flat Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Colquitt, Ga., with Brad Cross, Louie Cross, Chris Moates, Isaac Bush, Justin Whittaker and Frank Barron serving as active pallbearers.
Born in Erick, Okla., on Jan. 30, 1944, Mr. Standifer died on Friday, Jan. 8, 2010, in Brooksville, Fla.
Mr. Standifer was of the Baptist faith. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the American Legion. He was a truck driver.
Survivors include his mother, Hazel M. Owen of Edmond, Okla.; three sons, Frank Standifer Jr. and Owen Standifer, both of Colquitt, Ga., and Kevin Sconyers of Shreveport, La.; three daughters, Lori Sessions of Camden, Ala., LeAnn Sapp of Weeki Wachee, Fla., and Tonya Cross of Donalsonville; a brother, Doyle G. Standifer of Edmond, Okla.; and a sister, Peggy Forbes of Lebanon, Mo., 14 grandchildren and a special friend, Jeanette Moates.
Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
