Funeral services for Raymond “R. L.” Bullock, 64, of Pine Mountain, Ga., were held Tuesday, Jan. 12, in the chapel of Ivey Funeral Home with the Rev. Stan Blount officiating.

Interment followed at Cool Springs Cemetery with Raymond L. Bullock, Jr., Lamar Edwards, Billy McConnell, Colby McConnell, Zachary McConnell, Jim Sutton and Taylor Sutton serving as active pallbearers.

Born Aug. 6, 1945, in Quincy, Fla., Mr. Bullock died Friday, Jan. 8, 2010.

Mr. Bullock was a graduate of Shanks High School, Class of 1963, and was a sales representative with Higdon Grocery Company in Quincy, Fla., and May and Company in Columbus, Ga., for many years. He retired as a store manager for Suwanee Swifty Inc., and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Columbus, Ga.

Survivors include his wife, Elsie Blount Bullock of Pine Mountain; his son, Raymond L. Bullock Jr. of Hammond, Ind.; his daughters, Donna McConnell of Bainbridge and Debra Sutton of Defuniak Springs, Fla.; his brother, Donnie Bullock of Hamilton, Ga.; his sister, Patricia Sanders of Mobile, Ala.; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Ivey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
