Lady Cats defeat Seminole

The Bainbridge Middle School eighth-grade Lady Cats basketball team defeated the Seminole County Middle School eighth-grade Lady Indians 31-12 Thursday to end their home season at the Decatur County Memorial Coliseum on a high note.
On Tuesday, the Lady Cats, who are 4-5 overall, bowed to the Thomas County Central Middle School eighth-grade Lady Yellow Jackets 49-10. They will conclude their season Monday with a game against the Lady Yellow Jackets in Thomas County.
Lady Cat Dixie Landy took game-scoring honors against Seminole County with 9 points. She was followed by Tiera Adams with 5, D’Andrea Green with 4, Brandi Anthony with 3, and Raven Burney, Talisha Butler, Caryn Vandergriff and Brianna Hampton all with 2 each.
Chelsea Elijah and Shay Williams led the Lady Indians with 4 apiece. Charmoine Smith and Johnica Long each scored 2 for the Lady Indians.
In Tuesday’s game with Central, the Lady Cats were led by Tiera Adams and Tearnee Harvin with 2 apiece. Dixie Landy and Kristen Baldwin each scored 2.
Kacci Guyton of the Lady Yellow Jackets took game-scoring honors with 13. Erica Harvey was also in double figures for the Lady Yellow Jackets with 10.
Completing the Lady Yellow Jackets scoring chart were Kayome Hampton with 8, Ashley Hayes and Nikki Young with 4 apiece, and Ariel Carter, Ashley O’Nery and Tierrice Hudson all with 2.
