Graveside funeral services for Ada Geneta Sadler Meredith, 79, of Fayetteville, N.C., formerly of Bainbridge, will be held Thursday, March 18, at 11 a.m. in Oak City Cemetery with James Olivent officiating.

Born Oct. 5, 1930, in Bainbridge, Mrs. Meredith died on Friday, March 12, 2010, at the East Carlton Powell Hospice Center in Harnett County, N.C.

She lived in Bainbridge until the early 1960s. She had lived in Clear Water, Largo, Pinellas Park, St. Petersburg and Okeechobee, Fla., and in Fayetteville, N.C., since 2007. She was a homemaker, was of the Baptist faith and loved to read and fish.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dorr Vandall; a son, Ricky Keith Meredith; a daughter, Susan Genelle Rydstrom; a brother, John E. Sadler; and a sister, Mattie “Lou” Reagan.

Survivors include a son, Joseph E. Meredith of Fayetteville, N.C.; a brother, Curtis Sadler of Pelham, Ga.; a sister, Nell Malphurs of Tallahassee, Fla.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Cox-Ware Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
