Harvey’s Bainbridge manager James Woodard, in the center, and John Williams, the Tallahassee area district manager, on the right, are greeting customer Maggie King of Bainbridge, left, on Wednesday. The store raised the highest amount of all Harvey’s 72 stores. The two Harvey’s managers pledged to wear dresses if the store met its goal of $6,500 in shamrock sales for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, or MDA. The store exceeded its goal by $600, raising more than $7,100. Patricia Gaines was the top-selling cashier, selling $3,200 in shamrocks, Williams said. Harvey’s Supermarkets participate in the Jerry Lewis Telethon every Labor Day by presenting a check from the money raised in each store.
