A funeral service for Mrs. Phaydell Moore, 99, of Climax, will be held Wednesday, April 21, at 4 p.m. at Pigsah Primitive Baptist Church.

Interment will follow in Piedmont Cemetery, with James William Harrison, Al Byrd, Joe Byrd, Robert Byrd, Donald Byrd, and Eddie Byrd serving as active pallbearers.

Visitation will follow immediately after the service.

Born Feb. 11, 1911, in Decatur County, Mrs. Moore passed away Monday, April 19, 2010, at Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Moore was a homemaker and a member of Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church. She had lived all her life in Decatur County and loved to cook and fish.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Leland Moore and Marvin Byrd; and three grandchildren.

Survivors include a daughter, Reba Harrison of Climax; eight grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 21 great-great grandchildren.

Cox-Ware Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
